Tarneeb is a captivating card game played by two teams, with each team comprised of two players seated opposite one another at the playing table. The game utilizes a standard 52-card deck, and the direction of play is counter-clockwise. The primary objective for each player is to accurately estimate the number of Allmat (tricks) that their team can win in each round.

Gameplay

The game begins with bidding, where the player who wins the bid has the privilege to declare Tarneeb. This player then leads the first trick by playing any card, and the other players must follow suit if possible. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, unless a Tarneeb card is played, which trumps all other cards. If a player cannot follow suit, they may play a Tarneeb card to win the trick. The round continues until all cards are played.

Scoring

To score points, a team must meet or exceed the number of Allmat they bid. If successful, the team adds the number of Allmat they won to their score, while the opposing team scores nothing. If the team fails to meet their bid, the points they bid are deducted from their total, and the opposing team adds the number of Allmat they won to their score. Special rules apply for bidding 13 Allmat: if a team bids and wins 13 Allmat, they earn 26 points; if they bid 13 but win fewer, they lose 16 points. The game concludes when one team reaches a total score of 41 or more, declaring them the winners.
