World of Warcraft: The War Within – Patch 11.1 Prologue and Dalaran Epilogue Guide

The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues! Beyond the Siren Isle update and the anticipated Season 2 launch in late 2025 (bringing fresh endgame content and the next expansion chapter), Patch 11.0.7 introduces crucial story quests. These quests lay the groundwork for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine, and conclude the tragic saga of Dalaran's destruction. Note that the Dalaran Epilogue wasn't immediately available at launch.

Updated January 7, 2025: The recent campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a Warcraft staple, may never recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue provides a fitting conclusion to its story, offering a final farewell to this once-important social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

Accessing the Patch 11.1 Prologue ("Lingering Shadows")

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required, but recommended for context. This campaign includes:

• Ringing in the Deeps
• Good Help These Days
• Hey, What's Going On?
• Haywired and Hostile

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers valuable insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

Unlocking the Dalaran Epilogue

Initially gated for three weeks, the Dalaran Epilogue is now accessible (as of January 7th). To begin, you must have completed both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).

Check Foundation Hall (the Patch 11.1 prologue starting point). If Khadgar is present (after January 7th), you can receive his quest. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests.

Completing this unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
