Warzone Lobby Crashes Fixed

Author : Dylan Update : Feb 08,2025

Call of Duty: Warzone players are experiencing game freezes and crashes during loading screens, sometimes resulting in unfair penalties. While a permanent fix is still under development, developers have implemented a temporary solution.

This follows a series of issues plaguing Warzone in recent months, including a temporary matchmaking outage and ongoing problems with cheating and bugs. The latest glitch, reported on January 6th, caused games to freeze or crash during loading, leading to player frustration and complaints about undeserved Skill Rating (SR) penalties and timeouts.

In response to player outrage, Raven Software announced on January 9th a temporary suspension of SR penalties and timeouts for players disconnecting before joining Ranked matches. This mitigates the impact of the bug, although players leaving mid-match will still face penalties.

This temporary fix offers some relief, but the underlying issue remains unresolved. The persistence of bugs, even after a major update in early January 2025, highlights the ongoing challenges faced by the development team. While the penalty suspension is a positive step, a complete resolution is eagerly awaited by the Warzone community.
