Warzone Glitch: Players Equip Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Guns

Summary

  • A new glitch in Warzone allows players to use Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons.
  • Executing the glitch requires a friend's assistance and specific steps in a private Warzone match.
  • This is not an official method and may be patched in future updates.

A Call of Duty: Warzone player has uncovered an exciting glitch that lets users apply camos from 2023's Modern Warfare 3 to Black Ops 6 weapons. Although MW3 weapons are still accessible in Warzone, the current meta weapons hail from Treyarch Studios' latest release, Black Ops 6. This means that the hard-earned camos from MW3 have been rendered useless—until now.

As with previous Call of Duty titles, players are diligently working through Black Ops 6 to unlock the coveted mastery camos. These camos are earned through in-game challenges without any additional purchases, requiring players to achieve milestones like 100 headshots and unlock gold, diamond, and dark spine on numerous weapons before reaching the ultimate dark matter camo. However, for those who already unlocked these in MW3, these camos have been irrelevant in Warzone since BO6's launch. A newly discovered glitch might just change that.

Call of Duty: Warzone Player Discovers New Camo Glitch

For players who have diligently earned MW3's weapon camos, a new glitch offers a way to equip them on BO6 weapons within Warzone. This method, shared by Twitter user BSPGamin and reported by Dexerto, is not officially supported and could be patched by developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software in upcoming updates.

The glitch requires teamwork, as it cannot be done solo. Here's how to execute it:

  1. Start a private match in Warzone and equip a BO6 weapon in the first loadout slot.
  2. Join a friend's lobby.
  3. Switch to an MW3 weapon in the first loadout slot and repeatedly select the desired camo.
  4. While spamming the camo selection, have the host switch to a private match.
  5. Exit the private match, then return to the weapon and continue spamming the desired camo selection.
  6. Have your friend rejoin a private match. Once completed, the chosen MW3 camo should now be available on the BO6 weapon.

For those dedicated to using BO6 camos in Warzone but who haven't unlocked all the mastery camos yet, there's good news. Treyarch has confirmed they are developing a new challenge tracking feature for BO6. This feature, last seen in MW3, was missed in the recent Call of Duty title but will be reintroduced in a future update, helping players keep track of their progress toward those coveted camos.
