Following the conclusion of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event, players can participate in the returning Turbulent Timeways event bridging the gap until Patch 11.1. This event offers a unique reward for accumulating the Mastery of Timeways buff.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike standard Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons, running from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (5% increased experience from quests and monster kills). Four stacks upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways" (30% increased experience), lasting three hours. Both buffs refresh with each completed dungeon and persist through death. Maintaining four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways is crucial to obtaining Mastery of Timeways. Inactivity risks buff expiration, requiring a restart.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the experience buffs, Turbulent Timeways offers rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, previously available, is purchasable for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking vendors.
A new reward, the Timely Buzzbee mount, is earned by achieving the Mastery of Timeways buff during five of the seven event weeks.
