"Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Release Pushed to Late 2025 for Stability, Performance"
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed yet again, with the new release window set for October 2025. This latest announcement came from the game's official Twitter (X) account on March 26, accompanied by a video update from Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann. In the video, Behrmann stated, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases." This focus on polishing the game underscores Paradox Interactive's commitment to delivering a high-quality product.
Over the past few months, Paradox has been sharing development progress through Dev Diaries, covering aspects like characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to concentrate on enhancing the game's quality, all future Dev Diaries have been paused. This move reflects the developer's dedication to ensuring that the final product meets the high expectations of the gaming community.
A History of Delays
Originally unveiled in March 2019, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was initially scheduled for a March 2020 release. Developed by Hardsuit Labs at the time, the game faced its first delay in October 2019, pushing the release to an unspecified date in 2020, and then further to 2021. Amidst these delays, several key team members departed the project. In a significant shift, Paradox Interactive announced in February 2021 that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and The Chinese Room would take over development. Under The Chinese Room, the game's release was anticipated for late 2024, then shifted to the first half of 2025, and now to late 2025.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest updates and news on the game, be sure to check out our article below!
