The Thunderbolts* 4K Steelbook Preorders Open with Both Titles

Marvel fans eager to grow their physical media library can now pre-order Thunderbolts*. Several editions are available, from a 4K Ultra HD steelbook (available at Amazon) to a Walmart-exclusive Blu-ray, with a release date of July 29.

This 4K steelbook features a charcoal case adorned with iconic imagery and spray-paint markings from the film. The Collector's Edition prominently displays '*The New Avengers' on the front and 'Thunderbolts*' along the spine. The cases at Amazon and Walmart are identical in price and design, so your choice may come down to retailer preference.

Beyond the striking packaging, the main draw is experiencing the high-octane film in stunning 4K resolution—just ensure you have a compatible 4K setup to get the most from your purchase.

The release includes a suite of bonus features: a gag reel, deleted scenes, and director's commentary from Jake Schreier. This edition shares the same bonus content as the 4K version but presents the unlikely heroes in a central still image on the cover. The Walmart-exclusive version, bearing the full 'Thunderbolts: The New Avengers' title, includes a dynamic pop-up display of the squad in action.

Inside, you'll find a physical Blu-ray disc and a digital code redeemable on Movies Anywhere. The primary compromise is the lack of 4K video support.

In our assessment, Thunderbolts* is a welcome entry to the MCU. Critic Clint Gage noted in his review that the film "feels like the most cohesive the sacred timeline has been in some time, delivering an adventure worthy of its underrated characters."

If you missed the theatrical run and don't want a disc, Thunderbolts* will be available on digital platforms starting July 1. It will also stream on Disney+ alongside other MCU titles at a later date.
