Thrones Interactive: Kingsroad Drops New Teasers
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad – New Gameplay Trailer and Closed Beta Announced
Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. This action-adventure title, set during the show's fourth season, promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.
The closed beta, running from January 16th to 22nd, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions, offers fans early access to the game before its full release later this year. Players can register via the official website.
Kingsroad features class-based progression with fully manual controls, allowing players to master various character types, including knights and assassins. The game boasts an original storyline centered around a new character, the heir to House Tyrell in the North. Popular characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and even Drogon are confirmed to appear.
The trailer showcases the game's impressive graphics and combat, described by Netmarble as "raw, aggressive, and destructive." Drawing upon the rich lore and characters created by George R.R. Martin and the HBO series, Kingsroad aims to deliver a compelling story-driven mobile gaming experience. Its class-based system, original narrative, and inclusion of beloved characters suggest it could become a leading title in the mobile RPG genre. The game's setting during season four of the show provides a familiar yet potentially unexplored narrative space.
While fans eagerly await the next installment in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, The Winds of Winter, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad offers a significant interim experience for fans to enjoy. The game's release coincides with other upcoming projects in the Game of Thrones universe, such as A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and season 3 of House of the Dragon.
