Teardown Expands with Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC
Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting news for fans of Teardown: a highly anticipated multiplayer mode is on its way, alongside a new expansion, the Folkrace DLC. This DLC significantly boosts the single-player experience with fresh maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players can compete in diverse events, unlock rewards, and customize their rides to conquer the tracks.
The multiplayer update will initially launch on Steam's Experimental Branch, providing early access for players to test the feature and offer valuable feedback. This early access phase is particularly crucial for the modding community, as accompanying API updates will allow modders to adapt their creations for seamless multiplayer integration.
This multiplayer feature represents a long-held goal for the development team and directly addresses a frequently requested feature from the Teardown community.
At launch, multiplayer will be available via the Steam Experimental Branch, allowing for thorough testing. Concurrent API updates for modders will ensure compatibility. Following the testing phase, multiplayer will become a permanent core feature of the game.
Beyond the immediate future, Tuxedo Labs has confirmed that two more major DLCs are currently under development, with further details promised later in 2025.
