T-1000 MK1 Gameplay Trailer Echoes Terminator 2
NetherRealm Studios and WB Games have just dropped the official gameplay trailer for T-1000, set to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character stands out with his unique ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing him to creatively dodge projectiles. Fans who enjoyed playing as Kabal in previous games are likely to find T-1000 appealing, as some of Kabal's signature weapons and moves have been incorporated into Mortal Kombat 1.
The trailer is packed with nods to the iconic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. A standout moment is the recreation of the famous scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture that, interestingly, is banned in the NBA for being considered unsportsmanlike conduct. Additionally, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, asking if he has seen John Connor, further embedding the character into the lore of the film.
Alongside T-1000, the trailer also introduced Madam Bo, another exciting addition to the game. T-1000's Fatality is particularly noteworthy, where he uses his liquid metal form to change his appearance and efficiently terminate his opponent, showcasing the machine's deadly efficiency.
WB Games has not made any further announcements regarding future content. There are rumors circulating that this might be the final wave of new characters for Mortal Kombat 1, with speculation that a new game announcement could be on the horizon. However, there has been no official confirmation of these rumors yet.
