System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition Renamed System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, Also Coming to Nintendo Switch

Nightdive Studios' revamped version of the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG, initially titled System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, is now officially System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, and is heading to the Nintendo Switch.

The System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will soon launch on Windows PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The official synopsis:

The year is 2114. Awakening from cryo-sleep aboard the Von Braun starship, you find yourself with amnesia, amidst a catastrophic failure. Hybrid mutants and lethal robots prowl the ship's corridors, their chilling cries echoing through the vessel. SHODAN, a malevolent AI hell-bent on humanity's annihilation, has seized control. Your mission: stop her. Explore the decaying Von Braun, deck by deck, unraveling the horrifying fate of its crew and immersing yourself in the richly detailed narrative and environment.

Nightdive Studios confirmed that a release date and new trailer will debut during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025.
