The Nintendo Switch 2 is generating immense excitement among fans as its release date in 2025 approaches. With a Nintendo Direct scheduled for April 2nd, anticipation is at an all-time high. Nintendo Switch 2 Features The New C Button
Functionality Will Be Revealed During the Direct
Nintendo has recently launched its new smartphone application, Nintendo Today, designed to deliver the latest news and game information directly to players. Astute fans noticed that the app's listings on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store included promotional images, one of which boldly stated, "Get updates on Nintendo Switch 2 news plus game info, videos, comics, and more every day."
A closer examination of these images reveals what appears to be the final version of the Nintendo Switch 2, complete with redesigned Joycons and a mysterious button on the right Joycon. Initially spotted in a January teaser, this button was simply a black square with no label, sparking speculation about its purpose. It could have been a new social feature or an innovative sensor. However, thanks to the images in the Nintendo Today app, it's now confirmed to be a C button. While its exact function remains a mystery, fans won't have to wait long, as more details are expected to be unveiled during the upcoming Nintendo Direct.
