"Star Wars Outlaws: Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date Revealed"

Ubisoft has confirmed that Star Wars: Outlaws will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2, although it won't be a launch title for the new console. Set to release on September 4, a few months after the Nintendo Switch 2's debut on June 5, fans will have to wait a bit longer to experience this space adventure on the new handheld.

For those who haven't yet explored Star Wars: Outlaws on PS5, Xbox, or PC, the game is set in the timeline between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." It follows the journey of Kay Vess, a small-time criminal who finds herself marked for death by a powerful cartel. Our reviewer rated it a 7, describing it as "a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, but hindered by simple stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch."

While Ubisoft was light on details, they did confirm the game's arrival on the Nintendo Switch 2, allowing us to update the Switch 2 Games List. The announcement was made during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, where Ubisoft also unveiled the second story pack for Star Wars: Outlaws, titled "A Pirate’s Fortune." In this add-on, Kay Vess will ally with Hondo Ohnaka to confront Stinger Tash, the leader of the Rokana Raiders. "Star Wars: Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune" is scheduled for release on May 15.
