Sonic Rumble Pre-Release Event: Monkey Ball, Altered Beast Crossover
While the global launch of Sonic Rumble is still on the horizon, set for May 8th, the excitement is already building with a pre-release crossover event that's bringing some of Sega's most iconic characters into the mix. This event, which kicks off before the game's worldwide release, is a treat for those in regions where Sonic Rumble is currently in soft launch.
From now until May 7th, players can claim the Werewolf character from the classic game Altered Beast completely for free. But that's not all; subscribers to the Sega Star Event Pass can unlock even more legendary characters. You'll have the chance to add the Weredragon from Altered Beast and Opa-Opa, Sega's first mascot from the arcade hit Fantasy Zone, to your roster.
If you're looking to expand your collection further, head over to the in-game Ring Shop where you can purchase Upa-Upa and the Werebear. And for fans of Super Monkey Ball, the Red Star Ring Shop offers the beloved characters AiAi and MeeMee.
It's quite the unexpected move to host such an event before the official release, but it's a delightful surprise for those who can participate. And according to Sega, this is just the beginning. Sonic Rumble is gearing up for a busy calendar filled with more crossovers and collaborations, so keep an eye out for what's next!
On another note, if you're interested in upcoming games, don't miss out on Supercell's latest project. The Finnish developer is set to release a unique monster-hunting part-timer simulator soon on iOS and Android. Check out our Mo.co preview to see why it's worth a second look!
