The Sims Mobile to Cease Service After Final Event

After seven years of building homes, creating Sims, and living virtual lives on mobile devices, The Sims Mobile is coming to an end. Electronic Arts has officially announced that the game will be taken offline on January 20, 2026, concluding its journey that began back in 2018.
This news arrived alongside the release of the game's final update, which is now available. This last patch introduces a series of farewell events, offers unlimited energy, and hosts one final celebration before the servers are permanently shut down.
What does the final update include?
The concluding events will continue up until January. The Eerie Autumn Festival Pass is active now and will run through December 19th. It will be followed by a rotation of themed content such as Cozier Home, Hallways Ready, and Season’s Greetings.
Several Wumple’s Wishlist quests are also returning, presenting players with smaller, weekly time-limited goals. The last major event, New Year’s Dock and Roll, is scheduled from December 29th to January 10th. The final Wumple’s Wishlist quest concludes on January 17th.
The developers have arranged a special surprise before the shutdown. On January 6th, 2026, every Build Mode and Create A Sim item in The Sims Mobile will be unlocked for all players, completely removing any level restrictions.
Do you have The Sims Mobile installed?
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store. However, if it's currently installed on your device, you can continue playing and re-download it from your app library until the official shutdown date.
Spending real money in the game is no longer possible. Any existing in-game currency, such as SimCash, Simoleons, or Tickets, remains usable until the service ends. The final update provides unlimited energy, allowing you to complete your stories or finalize your builds. For further details, you can refer to the FAQ section on the official website.
