The Sims 1 and 2 might come back to PC very soon
The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.
A recent Sims teaser hints at the series' first two installments, sparking widespread fan speculation about their potential return. While no official announcement has been made, Kotaku sources suggest that EA and Maxis Games might launch digital PC versions of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with all their original expansion packs, by the end of the week.
Should this prove accurate, the question of console releases and their timing remains. Given the potent nostalgia factor and potential for significant revenue, it seems highly improbable that EA would forgo this opportunity.
The Sims 1 and 2 are legacy titles, and currently, legitimate access to these games is extremely limited. Their re-release would undoubtedly be a joyous occasion for countless devoted fans.
