The Game Worlds exhibition, running from September 18, 2025 to February 8, 2026, will highlight iconic titles including World of Warcraft, The Sims, and Australia's own Hollow Knight: Silksong. Visitors will explore custom game builds alongside original concept art and development materials.

In an interview with IGN, ACMI co-curators Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell expressed excitement: "Since its 2019 announcement, Silksong has captured global attention as one of the most awaited indie titles. We're honored to feature this South Australian masterpiece as a centerpiece of Game Worlds."

Details about Silksong have remained scarce since its announcement. The Game Worlds exhibition aims to satisfy fan curiosity with exclusive insights into the game's development.

The curators revealed: "Our exhibition unveils Silksong's artistic process - from Hornet's intricate animations to boss battle mechanics. Visitors will experience playable builds alongside comprehensive design showcases."
