Silent Hill f: An "Independent Work from the Series"
A Standalone Game That Can Be Enjoyed by Newcomers
Silent Hill enthusiasts have been curious about how the upcoming Silent Hill f fits into the series' timeline. A tweet from Konami, posted on Twitter (X) on May 20, clarified that Silent Hill f is a standalone game, distinct from the main series, making it an ideal entry point for newcomers.
While it's designed to be enjoyed independently, the developers have included subtle nods to past games, as mentioned during the Silent Hill Transmission in March. The connection to the series' iconic town is tenuous, given that the original Silent Hill series is set in the 1990s USA, whereas Silent Hill f takes place in 1960s Japan. Despite this shift in setting, Konami promises to deliver the psychological horror that fans expect.
