"Shining Revelry Expansion Coming Soon to Pokemon TCG Pocket"

Author : Oliver Update : May 06,2025

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I dive back in with full enthusiasm whenever a new set drops and continue playing as long as there are Emblems to earn after securing around 40 wins. Once that's done, my routine shifts to logging in daily to open packs, participate in a Wonder Pick for fun, and then I usually forget about it until the next day. This cycle is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will bring 110 new cards into the TCG Pocket universe, featuring a variety of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and the stunning art cards that fans adore. The highlight of this expansion, as hinted by its name, is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon. These are unique, differently colored versions of your favorite creatures. For instance, you'll see a yellow Lucario instead of the usual blue, and a Pachirisu with a striking pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come. A new Shiny Charizard Ex will make its debut, boasting 180 HP and a powerful attack called Steam Artillery that inflicts 150 damage. However, it requires a hefty five energy to use. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards at once, making it a bit more manageable.

Another exciting addition is the new Ex version of Lucario. Previously more of a support in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is ready for frontline combat. With 150 HP, it may not be the most durable, but its Aura Sphere attack is impressive. For three Fighting Energy, it deals 100 damage to the active Pokemon and an additional 30 to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

The trailer also showcases other cards that, while not game-changers, are still noteworthy. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are on their way and look fantastic. Additionally, there's a beautifully designed Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.
