Diving into the thrilling world of the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.* can be a blast, especially with up to six players working together to retrieve valuables across various maps. However, nothing ruins the fun faster than losing your progress. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to save your game in *R.E.P.O.* and ensure your hard work isn't for naught.

How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.

One of the most frustrating experiences in gaming is expecting to resume from your last save, only to find out your progress hasn't been recorded. This is particularly true for newer games like *R.E.P.O.*, where the mechanics might not be as clear. Unlike some games that offer autosave or manual save options, *R.E.P.O.* requires a bit more attention to detail.

The key to saving your game in *R.E.P.O.* is straightforward: you must complete the level you're on for the game to autosave. There's no option for manual saving, so if you quit during a retrieval mission or die, sending you to the Disposal Arena, your progress will be lost. You'll have to start that level over from the beginning. It's crucial to remember that dying in *R.E.P.O.* results in your save file being deleted, and exiting mid-level means you'll need to restart from the level's start.

To successfully save your game, you need to finish the level by delivering your collected valuables to the Extraction Point. After that, make your way to the truck, and hold the message button above your head to signal to your AI boss, the Taxman, that you're ready to move to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can do your shopping and prepare for the next level. To proceed, use the same button to signal your readiness to move on.

Once you leave the Service Station and arrive at your next location, it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When you or the host (if another player created the original save file) restarts *R.E.P.O.*, you can jump back into the game seamlessly. It's important to note that the host is responsible for exiting at the correct time to ensure the game saves properly. Once the host quits, all other players will be booted out.
