Saros Was Revealed During the February 2025 State of Play

Launching in 2026

Housemarque's new title, Saros, made its debut at the February 2025 State of Play. The game is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro around 2026. It aims to expand and refine the intense, fast-paced action of the studio's previous third-person shooter, Returnal. Players will follow the story of Arjun Devraj, portrayed by Hollywood actor Rahul Kohli.

Return with Greater Strength

According to Housemarque's creative director Gregory Louden, Saros was developed to let Returnal exist as its own unique experience. The new IP is designed to build upon Returnal’s narrative and gameplay systems. While Returnal offered a dynamic roguelike adventure across ever-changing environments, Saros introduces persistent and upgradeable loadouts—including weapons and suits—allowing players to "Return with Greater Strength" and eventually conquer challenges that may have defeated them before.
