Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, side quests can be easy to miss, and failing them means no second chances. One such side quest involves finding Rosa's book, crucial for those looking to deepen their relationship with Rosa. Here’s how to unlock and complete this quest successfully.

Unlocking the Rosa's Book Side Quest

To start the quest, you must first complete "Via Argentum" and begin "Taking French Leave." After aiding the Ruthard family with Vavak, either through persuasion or force, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll share details about a secret passage into Maleshov that you can use to rescue Hans. During this conversation, Rosa will also ask you to retrieve a book for her from Maleshov. Ask her about the book and promise to bring it back to initiate the "Rosa's Book" side quest.

Remember, you can only complete this quest while on "Taking French Leave." Leaving Maleshov with Hans without the book results in failing the quest, which also means missing out on the opportunity to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located along your path to Hans' room.

Finding Rosa's Book

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the side stairs to enter the building, then sneak inside. You'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where you'll find Lady Ofka sitting near the fireplace. Sneak behind her and knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and a sword from the chest in her room. Rosa's book is in this room as well. Look to the right of the fireplace, where you'll see a red book in the window alcove. Pick it up to update your objective to return the book to Rosa.

While in the area, grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room to save time later when meeting Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. Then, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

After the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can work towards romancing him by choosing the heart dialogue option here, provided you chose similarly in Trosky. Sneak to the north side stables, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Open the gate to trigger another cutscene, concluding the quest. Once it's over, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to give Rosa her much-desired book in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
