Pokemon TCG Pocket Sleep Status Explained
In Pokémon TCG Pocket, Sleep is a significant hindrance, rendering a Pokémon unable to attack, use abilities, or retreat. While easily cured, its impact can be game-changing. This guide details Sleep's effects and cures.
What is Sleep in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Sleep prevents a Pokémon from taking any action until cured. A sleeping Pokémon on your active spot is effectively useless.
Curing Sleep
There are primarily two ways to wake a sleeping Pokémon:
-
Coin Toss: Each turn, a coin toss determines if the Pokémon wakes up. This can be as quick as one turn, or significantly longer, depending on luck.
-
Evolution: Evolving a sleeping Pokémon instantly cures it.
A less common method involves the Koga Trainer card, which returns a sleeping Weezing or Muk to your hand.
Sleep-Inducing Cards
Eight cards currently inflict Sleep:
