The event, running from January 9th to 12th, offers players a limited-time opportunity to catch these serpentine Pokémon en masse. Silicobra will appear across Paldea, Ekans in Kitakami, and Seviper in the Terarium. Pokémon levels will vary (10-65) based on player progression in the main storyline. To participate, players must connect to the internet, access the Poke Portal via the in-game menu, and select "Get Poke Portal News."

This event follows the recent Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid, a fitting end to the Year of the Dragon. The boosted Shiny rate for this Snakelike Mass Outbreak is 0.5% before any additional multipliers are applied. Players can further enhance their Shiny hunting success by crafting Shiny Sandwiches. Recipes include: Salty or Spicy Herba Mystica with a Green Bell Pepper for Ekans and Seviper, and Ham instead of pepper for Silicobra.
