Pokemon GO Reveals Tour Pass for Upcoming Unova Event
Pokémon GO Announces New Unova Tour Pass with Exciting Rewards
Pokémon GO players can gear up for the upcoming Unova event with a new Tour Pass, available from February 24th to March 9th. This pass offers a range of rewards and milestones achievable by earning Tour Points. Points are earned through various in-game activities, including catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching eggs.
The event builds upon the annual Pokémon GO Tour, celebrating a different region each year. Previous tours have highlighted Kanto and Sinnoh, introducing new shiny Pokémon and special variants. This year's Unova-focused event promises Gen 5 themed encounters, raids, and egg hatches.
A free Tour Pass is available to all players, offering rewards upon reaching various milestones, culminating in a special Zorua encounter. However, all rewards expire on March 9th at 6 pm local time, so timely claim is crucial.
Pokémon GO Introduces a Deluxe Pass Option
For a more enhanced experience, a deluxe Tour Pass is available for $14.99 (or $19.99 with 10 pre-unlocked ranks) on the Pokémon GO Webstore, also from February 24th at 10 am to March 2nd at 6 pm local time. This version unlocks all free and paid rewards, plus an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini and a new Lucky Trinket item. The Lucky Trinket guarantees a Lucky Trade with a chosen friend, resetting their Lucky Friend status afterward. Like the free pass, deluxe pass rewards (including the Lucky Trinket) expire on March 9th at 6 pm.
The Unova Tour Pass adds extra excitement to the upcoming event, which features the debut of Kyurem's Black and White forms via fusion, mirroring last year's Necrozma fusion. Shiny Meloetta will also make its debut via a ticketed Masterwork Research.
