Pokemon GO Fest 2025 Dates and Locations Announced

Launching in June 2025

On January 6, 2025, Niantic announced the much-anticipated dates and locations for Pokemon GO Fest 2025. This thrilling three-day event will unfold across three different cities on separate dates. Here's the schedule:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
• Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

Annual Global Event for Pokemon GO Players

Pokemon GO Fest is a global phenomenon, offering trainers worldwide access to exclusive items, enhanced gameplay, and special bonuses. Participants can choose to join in-person events in various cities, each requiring a ticket and featuring unique attractions as you explore the host city.

The event is renowned for the chance to encounter rare Pokemon not available during regular gameplay. In 2024, for example, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow made their debut. Additionally, certain Pokemon have a higher chance of appearing in their Shiny forms, distributed across different habitats within the event cities.

For those attending in person, the event offers exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed sets, and community hubs to celebrate the occasion. Team lounges provide a space for trainers to connect and share their experiences. While specifics for 2025 are yet to be disclosed, expect a format similar to previous years.

Two More Pokemon Events For January Announced

In addition to the Pokemon GO Fest 2025 announcement, Niantic revealed two more events for January: Fashion Week: Taken Over and Shadow Raid Day.

During Fashion Week: Taken Over, players can rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. New Pokemon, Shroodle and Grafaiai, will debut and can be obtained by hatching 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokemon like Snivy and Tepig will appear, and players might encounter a Croagunk in a fashion week costume through snapshots.

Shadow Raid Day offers trainers the chance to catch Shadow Ho-Oh in Five-Star Shadow Raids. A $5 USD ticket provides eight extra Raid Passes, increased chances of obtaining Rare Candy XL, double Stardust, and a 50% boost in XP from Raid Battles. There's also an enhanced opportunity to encounter Shiny Ho-Oh, and lucky players can teach it its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
