March is buzzing with excitement in *Pokemon GO* as we celebrate the shift in seasons with a spectacular event focused on bug-type Pokemon. The Bug Out event offers a golden opportunity to catch these fascinating critters, complete with enticing bonuses and new avatar items to enhance your gaming experience.

Event Details

When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?

The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on March 26 at 10 AM local time and continues until 8 PM local time on March 30. This five-day extravaganza is perfect for collecting all those intriguing bug-type Pokemon that might make Misty squirm. Plus, it's an excellent time for Shiny hunting, as almost every featured Pokemon has a Shiny variant in *Pokemon GO*.

Featured Wild Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event

According to the official page, you'll encounter the following bug-type Pokemon more frequently in the wild during the Bug Out event:

  • Caterpie
  • Weedle
  • Wurmple
  • Nincada
  • Venipede
  • Dwebble
  • Joltik
  • Grubbin
  • Dewpider
  • Nymble
  • Cutiefly (with Shiny potential)

New Pokemon During the Bug Out Event

Two exciting new additions, Sizzlipede and Centiskorch, will make their debut in *Pokemon GO* during the Bug Out event. Evolving Sizzlipede into Centiskorch requires 50 Sizzlipede Candy.

Featured Raid Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event

Get ready for a variety of raids during the *Pokemon GO* Bug Out event. Here are the Pokemon you'll encounter at raid gyms, with those marked with an asterisk (*) having the potential to be Shiny:

One-Star Raids

  • Scyther*

Three-Star Raids

  • Beedrill*

All Pokemon GO Bug Out Event Bonuses

Trainers will enjoy the following bonuses during the Bug Out event:

  • Double XP for catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better.
  • More Candy for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
  • More Candy XL for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws (for Trainers over Level 31).
  • Sizzlipede can be attracted with Lure Modules.
  • Higher chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
  • Additional Pokemon will appear near a lured PokeStop if enough Pokemon are caught using a single Lure Module.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Time Research

Spin PokeStops to receive event-themed Field Research tasks, which, upon completion, can reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with some of the event's Pokemon. Additionally, Timed Research will offer a Lure Module and encounters with the event's Pokemon. For those willing to invest, Paid Timed Research includes a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with the event's Pokemon. Remember, all research must be completed and rewards claimed before the event concludes.

Pokemon GO Bug Avatar Items

Starting with the Bug Out event, new bug-type themed Avatar items will be available in the in-game shop, including:

  • Sizzlipede Boots
  • Scolipede Jacket

Pokemon GO Bug Out Collection Challenges

The Bug Out event will feature Collection Challenges centered around event-themed Pokemon. Completing these challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.
