Pokémon GO's 8th Anniversary: New Raids and Bonuses Unveiled!
Pokémon GO's 8th Anniversary is just around the corner, and it's set to be an epic celebration! Kicking off on Friday, June 28th at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., this event promises a whirlwind of excitement with new Pokémon debuts, exclusive bonuses, and thrilling raid and trade opportunities.
Here’s What’s In Store!
Get ready to see some new faces in themed costumes! Grimer and Muk will be donning party hats, and if luck is on your side, you might encounter a Shiny Grimer. Plus, Meltan is making a shiny comeback if you use the Mystery Box during the event.
During Pokémon GO’s 8th Anniversary, your chances of becoming Lucky Friends and scoring Lucky Pokémon through trades will be higher than ever. Friendship levels will soar faster than usual when you open Gifts, trade Pokémon, or battle together. You could even discover 8 or 88 Gimmighoul Coins when spinning a PokéStop equipped with a Golden Lure Module.
The event is packed with special bonuses! From June 28th to 29th, enjoy half the Egg Hatch Distance when using Incubators. From June 30th to July 1st, earn double XP for catching Pokémon. And from July 2nd to July 3rd, double your Stardust for each catch.
The excitement doesn't stop there—festively dressed Pokémon in one-star raids will have an increased chance of being shiny. Event-themed field research tasks will lead to encounters with partner Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, and more. Additionally, you'll earn Mega Energy rewards for Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert.
There are also paid events like Timed Research tasks and Whispers in the Woods Masterwork Research available for a small fee. You can find the complete list of these events on the official Pokémon GO website. Don’t miss out on the adorable stickers and the special Anniversary Box available in the Pokémon GO web store.
