Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Console Throwback Event
Get ready, Pikmin Bloom enthusiasts! The game is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops with a nostalgic event kicking off on May 1st, 2025. This celebration is a perfect blend of old-school charm and new adventures.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted us with various fun decor options, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For this special 3.5th anniversary, the game is bringing back the classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s, offering a delightful trip down memory lane.
Adding to the nostalgia, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin is being introduced. This is a tribute to Nintendo's origins when they crafted playing cards before venturing into the world of video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks, making them a must-have for any collector.
The event will run from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving you an entire month to engage in the missions and collect these unique Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also make an appearance. Destroying these mushrooms yields Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms, so make sure to use them wisely.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
In May, you'll have the chance to see your flowers bloom into stunning varieties such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or the exclusive anniversary roses. Just plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them to witness the magic.
There's also an exciting nectar update. Fruits obtained from mushrooms during May will provide nectar not only for regular flowers but also for the special blooms like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
The festivities don't stop there; look forward to Community Day and other exciting events. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and prepare for a month of celebration!
