Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM Event Launches March 18, 2025
Prepare for another explosive collaboration between Overwatch 2 and global K-pop phenomenon LE SSERAFIM! This much-anticipated event coincides with the group's upcoming album "Hot," bringing exclusive character skins, emotes, and special challenges to the game. The partnership continues the success of their previous 2023 collaboration celebrating "Perfect Night." Blizzard officially announced the event through a Twitter reveal trailer on March 11, with initial plans unveiled during February's Overwatch 2 Spotlight showcase.
The event introduces stunning new skins for Mercy, Juno, D.Va, Ashe, and Illari, along with recolored variants of the 2023 collaboration skins featuring K-pop-inspired designs for Kiriko, D.Va, Sombra, Tracer, and Brigitte. While the fan-favorite Concert Clash mode from the previous event won't return (as it was specifically tied to "Perfect Night"), players can unlock the legendary Fawksey James Junkrat skin through special event challenges.
In a March 11 interview with Polygon, Overwatch Associate Director of Product Management Aimee Denett shared insights about the collaboration: "With this event, we wanted to celebrate the launch of their new album. While we didn't create a new song specifically for Overwatch, we're excited to showcase K-pop culture through a visualizer for one of their album tracks and an extensive collection of premium cosmetics."
Mark your calendars: The limited-time event runs from March 18 through March 31, 2025. Fans won't want to miss the special pre-event livestream on March 17 at 8:30 PM PST, featuring LE SSERAFIM members and exclusive previews of the new skins, broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube.
