First Released in 2006
Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and co-published by Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games, Oblivion was initially slated for release as an Xbox 360 launch title in late 2005. Due to unforeseen delays, the Xbox 360 and PC versions hit the shelves in March 2006.
The mobile version, crafted by Superscape and published by Vir2L Studios, launched in May 2006. The PlayStation 3 version followed in North America in March 2007 and in Europe in April 2007. Plans for a PSP version were scrapped, but Oblivion saw multiple bundled releases with titles like Fallout 3 and BioShock.
Recent leaks from developer Virtuos' website showcased promotional art and comparisons between the original and remastered versions of Oblivion. These leaks suggest that the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass), and PC.
Rumors have also surfaced about a Deluxe Edition featuring bonus weapons and a horse armor DLC pack, though Bethesda has yet to confirm these details. Stay tuned to Bethesda's upcoming livestream for the official reveal of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
