Nintendo Alarmo Japanese Launch Delayed Despite Global Availability

Alarmo General Sale in Japan Postponed
Inventory Does Not Meet Demand
Nintendo Japan has officially delayed the general sale of the Nintendo Alarmo alarm clock. Initially set for February 2025, the release date is now pushed back to a yet-to-be-announced time due to production and inventory challenges. At the moment, there's no information on whether this delay will impact stocks in other regions, where the Alarmo is expected to be available to the public in March 2025.
In response, Nintendo is introducing a pre-order system exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan. The pre-order window will open in mid-December, with shipments expected to begin in early February 2025. The specific start date for pre-orders will be announced soon.
Nintendo’s Very Own Alarm Clock
Launched globally in October, the Alarmo is a fun and interactive alarm clock that integrates beloved soundtracks from popular Nintendo series like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and RingFit Adventure. Nintendo plans to expand the sound library through future updates.
The Alarmo's launch caught Nintendo off guard with its immense popularity. The company had to halt online orders and implement a lottery system due to overwhelming demand. Physical stocks were also completely depleted in Nintendo stores in Japan and at the Nintendo store in New York.
Stay tuned for further updates on pre-orders and the rescheduled general sales of the Alarmo. Whether you're in Japan or elsewhere, keep an eye out for more news on this exciting product!
