Sword of Convallaria's Night Crimson Update: New Story, Characters, and Events

XD Inc. has unleashed the Night Crimson update for its popular tactical RPG, Sword of Convallaria. This expansion, arriving just months after the game's July launch, delivers a wealth of new content for millions of players on PC and mobile.

The update continues the Spiral of Destinies campaign, focusing on Waverun City with the introduction of a captivating investigative clue wall mechanic. This innovative gameplay blends tactical combat with detective work, challenging players to unravel mysteries and make crucial decisions. Players will be guided by Safiyyah, the Mobile Squad's strategic leader, throughout this new storyline.

Night Crimson also introduces a new character type: SP Characters. These are alternate versions of existing characters, boasting unique appearances and enhanced combat abilities. SP Rawiyah debuts on January 3rd, followed by SP Taair on January 17th. Unlocking an SP character, if you already possess their original counterpart, grants an exclusive SP skill, boosting the combat prowess of both versions.

Beyond the new characters and quests, the Night Crimson update features limited-time events (starting December 20th) offering substantial rewards. Players can earn Secret Fates, legendary trinkets, and exclusive avatar frames by completing event challenges. The Waverun Tournament, commencing January 3rd, provides another avenue to acquire special items by exchanging event points.

This update also offers a behind-the-scenes look at the game's development. Developer messages provide insights into future plans, and a video message from Safiyyah's Japanese voice actor adds a personal touch. A new theme song, "Never Apart," is also included, featuring a Japanese version performed by Hikasa Yoko.
