Netflix Cancels Electric State Prequel Game: Kid Cosmo
Netflix is set to launch an exciting new game tied to their upcoming sci-fi adventure film, The Electric State. Titled The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, this puzzle game with a retro-futuristic twist will be available starting March 18th, just four days after the film premieres on Netflix. Directed by the Russo brothers, the movie features stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt and is slated for release on March 14th. The film takes viewers on a post-apocalyptic road trip through an alternate 1990s America filled with massive robots.
It’s Not Going to be a Simple Adaptation of the Movie
The Electric State: Kid Cosmo isn't just another movie tie-in; it's a prequel that delves into the childhood of two pivotal characters, Chris and Michelle. Developed by BUCK Games in collaboration with AGBO, the game offers a game-within-a-game experience. BUCK Games, known for their acclaimed roguelite puzzle game Let's! Revolution! on Steam, promises a robust gameplay experience.
In Kid Cosmo, players embark on a series of puzzle adventures reminiscent of the WarioWare series, infused with a distinct '80s flair. Set in Wichita, Kansas, in 1985, the game spans five years, providing a rich backstory for Chris and Michelle before the events of the movie. Players will collect modules, repair Kid Cosmo's ship, and solve puzzles that unveil the mysteries of this intriguing world. To get a sneak peek, check out the official trailer below.
