Official website data reveals surprising character popularity in Marvel Rivals. In quick play, Jeff reigned supreme, outpacing Venom and Cloak & Dagger. However, the competitive landscape shifted dramatically. On PC, Luna Snow, Cloak & Dagger, and Mantis dominated, while console players favored Cloak & Dagger, Penny Parker, and Mantis.

A fascinating twist: Mantis, the most popular competitive character, also suffered the most defeats. She led the pack on both PC and consoles, surpassing Hela, Loki, and Magic. Consoles saw a broader success story, with 14 additional characters boasting win rates over 50%.

Conversely, some characters struggled for popularity. Storm, Black Widow, and Wolverine lagged in quick play, while Nemore occupied the bottom rung in competitive matches.

Marvel Rivals, after a month of over 500 mod submissions, is now facing controversy. Nexus Mods removed modifications replacing Captain America's head with Donald Trump and Joe Biden, sparking significant user backlash.

Nexus Mods owner, TheDarkOne, explained in a private Reddit discussion that both Trump and Biden-related mods were removed simultaneously to avoid accusations of bias. This action, however, has seemingly gone unnoticed by YouTube commentators.
