MTG Unveils Grim Set: 'Death Race' Cards Emerge

Aetherdrift, Magic: The Gathering's upcoming set, features a multiverse death race. We have an exclusive preview of two new cards: Cloudspire Coordinator and Count on Luck.

Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon card, showcases the red-white pairing. Representing the Cloudspire Racing Team from Kylem (introduced in Battlebond), this creature's 3 power allows vehicle crewing, while its activated ability generates Pilot tokens for additional crewing.

Count on Luck, a rare 3-mana enchantment, is a straightforward, all-red card. At the start of each turn, it exiles the top card of your library, allowing you to play it immediately – a classic "impulse draw" effect, ideal for mono-red decks.

Finally, we show Count on Luck's extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. First-Place Foils, shiny golden cards, are exclusive to randomized buy-a-box promo packs included with each Aetherdrift box. All set rares and 10 full-art lands receive this treatment.
