The new season promises "big changes, big battles, and…big Pokémon," according to Niantic's announcement. Morpeko's introduction, with its battle-altering form change via Charged Attacks, fuels speculation about the inclusion of other Galar region Pokémon like Mimikyu and Aegislash.

"Coming soon: Morpeko will charge into Pokémon GO, changing the way you battle! Certain Pokémon—like Morpeko—will be able to change form in battle by using a Charged Attack, unleashing new possibilities for you and your battle team."

While specifics remain under wraps, the "big" and "hungry" teases point towards a September launch for the new season, heavily anticipated to center around Galar Pokémon. The implementation of Dynamax and Gigantamax in Pokémon GO remains unclear, particularly whether it will mirror the Power Spot system from Sword and Shield.
