Mobile Gamers Rejoice: Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Arrives in November

Stardew Valley's highly anticipated 1.6 update finally arrives on mobile devices on November 4th, 2024! Console and mobile gamers can now experience the extensive content previously released on PC in March 2024.

What's New in Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Mobile?

This update significantly expands the Stardew Valley experience. Key additions include:

  • Expanded Multiplayer: Support for up to eight players online, doubling the original capacity for collaborative farming, building, and fishing adventures.
  • New Festivals: Two exciting fishing festivals—the Trout Derby and SquidFest—join the existing seasonal events, adding more variety and gameplay. The Desert Festival also receives enhancements.
  • New Farm Layout: The Meadowlands Farm offers a fresh environment ideal for livestock raising and convenient fishing opportunities.
  • Enhanced Social Interaction: Over 100 new NPC dialogues enrich interactions with the game's beloved characters, deepening relationships and adding layers of storytelling.
  • New Items and Crafting: A wealth of new items are introduced, including the Big Chest (double the storage!), a dehydrator, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker for targeted fishing.
  • Customization Options: Numerous new furniture styles and over 25 hats provide extensive customization possibilities. A prize machine in Lewis' house offers rewards for completing quests and festival events.
  • Multiple Pets: After fully befriending your initial pet, you can now acquire multiple pets, each potentially bringing gifts, and all capable of wearing hats! NPCs also sport new winter attire.
  • Island Exploration Aid: A golden Joja parrot assists in locating the elusive golden walnuts on Ginger Island.
  • New Crops: Expand your farming with carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two new giant crop varieties.

Reasons for the Delay

The delay in releasing the update for mobile and consoles allowed the developers to thoroughly test the content on PC, ensuring a smoother, bug-free experience for all players.
