Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Games

Microsoft has announced an exciting array of Xbox Game Pass titles slated to join the service in the first half of April 2025. The lineup includes a mix of first- and third-party games such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more, promising a robust month for subscribers.

The month kicks off on April 3 with the arrival of Gearbox Software's Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available across Cloud, Console, and PC platforms for all Game Pass tiers. Joining it on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial wave is packed with content to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month. However, the excitement doesn't stop there; just five days later on April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will be added for all Game Pass subscribers.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and offers a folklore adventure that is anticipated to be one of the year's major releases for Xbox. Microsoft's description of the game emphasizes its immersive storytelling, where players will explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures, all while learning to harness an ancient power to overcome obstacles and face the haunting past of their hometown.

Following closely, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) will be available starting April 9 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The next day, April 10, sees the addition of Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) for the same tiers. Wrapping up the first wave of April releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be added on April 15, exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
