LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

Author : Liam Update : May 13,2025

LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, in celebration of Star Wars Day on May the 4th. This annual event, spearheaded by Disney, typically features the release of LEGO's Ultimate Collector Series Starship. Previous releases included Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, fans can look forward to the introduction of Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I, though the name was officially changed to Firespray-Class Starship in 2021 at Disney's request to avoid the negative connotations associated with the word "slave."

The latest rendition of this iconic ship marks a significant upgrade from its last major release in 2019, which celebrated the 20th anniversary with a 1007-piece set inspired by Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new 2025 model, boasting an impressive 2970 pieces, is inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This set is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, with dimensions of 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
