The highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 will feature a unique pricing strategy across different regions. In Japan, the console will be available at a lower price point compared to its global counterpart, which is sure to excite fans in the region.

Switch 2 Will Have 2 Language System Versions

Japanese Switch 2 to Sell at Lower Price than Global Version

Nintendo has announced that the Switch 2 will come in two distinct versions: a Japanese-language system, exclusive to Japan, and a Multi-Language System designed for worldwide use. The Japanese version is set to be priced at approximately $330, while the Multi-Language System will be available at $449.99, reflecting a significant price difference of over $100. This disparity is largely due to the current strength of the USD against the weakened yen, making it less attractive for tourists to buy in Japan.

Residents of Japan will have the option to purchase either version. However, the Japanese-language system will be exclusively available within Japan and will only be accessible to Nintendo Accounts set to the Japanese region. This version will support only the Japanese language and will offer software available on the Nintendo eShop for the Japanese market.

For those interested in using the Switch 2 with multiple languages, Nintendo recommends opting for the Multi-Language System version. More detailed information about this version will be disclosed on April 4.
