Solving the Fountain of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Having cracked the Sacred Wounds puzzle and escaped the Vatican catacombs, Indy studies a scroll from the Giant's tomb that leads him to his next challenge - the Fountain of Confession.

Remember to photograph all signs, statues, and murals throughout the puzzle for valuable Adventure Points to upgrade Indy's skills.

From Antonio's office (where the Sacred Wounds mission began), follow your journal's map waypoints to an outdoor courtyard staircase leading directly to the fountain puzzle.

Start by locating a chest near construction equipment beside the fountain. Inside lies the fountain key granting access to an adjacent storage room.

Inside the storage room, whip-swing to the rooftop, then across to a window exiting above the fountain. Two dragon statues stand facing forward - approach the second statue to pull its protruding claw, activating a lever mechanism.

Adjust this lever to rotate the dragon statue until it faces its counterpart. Returning to the first statue reveals its missing claw has fallen onto scaffolding below. While retrieving it, Gina Lombardi interrupts, triggering a cutscene before assisting with the puzzle.

After reattaching the claw, rotate the first dragon until both face each other. This rotates the main fountain statue below, allowing you to descend and continue solving the Great Circle's intricate challenge.

With both dragons aligned, whip-pull the fountain statue to shift the wall, unveiling a gate guarded by three statues: an angel (left), a man (right), and a smaller central figure.

Push the newly-appeared fountain lever with Gina to reveal the first wall puzzle - a baptism scene. Study pillar inscriptions (photographable for hints and points) for clues.

Position the male statue beneath the water bucket, whip-activate the mechanism to fill it, then push the statue toward the smaller figure to simulate baptism. Success moves the left guardian statue, clearing half the puzzle.

The second puzzle involves maneuvering an angel figure across sliding stone layers. Use whip-controlled handles to align three path segments, guiding the figure rightward to complete this phase.

With both puzzles solved and guardians moved, simply push the remaining center statue through the gate to activate a spiral staircase, concluding the Fountain of Confession challenge.

This gate-opening reveals your passage to the next game segment, marking successful completion of the Vatican's intricate fountain puzzle.
