Honkai Star Rail 3.2: Banner System Overhaul Boosts Player Choice

Author : Noah Update : Mar 12,2025

Honkai: Star Rail's gacha system is getting a major overhaul, giving players more control over their character pulls. Leaks suggest version 3.2 will introduce a customizable pity system for limited banners, a significant change to how the gacha works. Instead of the standard 50/50 pull, players will choose their preferred characters for the pity pool.

According to leaks from Sakura Haven, the 3.2 update will let you select characters to partially or fully replace the default 50/50 pool. Currently, this pool contains seven standard characters. In 3.2, this will be replaced by a customizable “Group.” You’ll choose seven characters from this expanded “Group” to form your personalized pity pool. Losing the 50/50 will then reward a character from *your* chosen pool, not the standard lineup.

Initially, the “Group” will include the seven standard characters plus a selection of others. This means you'll have a better chance of getting the characters you want, reducing the frustration of random pity pulls. This directly addresses a common gacha complaint: the unpredictability of losing the 50/50.

While details are scarce, it's unclear which characters will be available for selection. The pool might include past limited characters, current banner units, or even new additions. This player-focused change reflects HoYoverse’s commitment to improving Honkai: Star Rail's player experience and could set a new standard for gacha game design.

The news has generated considerable excitement. Players eagerly anticipate the launch of Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 to experience this improved gacha system firsthand.
