HandyGames Announces Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile
Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its immersive open-world hunting experience to a new platform. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Developed by Nine Rocks Games and originally released in August 2022 for PC and consoles, the mobile version is currently in beta testing.
What to Expect in the Mobile Version?
While some graphical compromises are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to high-end PCs, the core gameplay experience, including DLC content, will be included post-launch. THQ Nordic and HandyGames plan a full release soon.
A closed beta test (CBT) is underway, with HandyGames providing a signup form on their official X platform for interested participants.
A Top-Tier Hunting Simulation?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with strategic, patient gameplay, requiring careful tracking of realistically behaving wildlife. Set in expansive open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, the game offers a vast 55-square-mile hunting ground.
Players can choose from a range of authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, and utilize blood splatter analysis and animal sign tracking to secure their trophies. The ecosystem dynamically responds to player actions, adding a layer of realism and consequence to the hunting experience. Overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate.
The game features an in-game economy where players sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting permits, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are available, and the mobile version will offer full controller support.
