Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols

Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. These items, though labeled "Quest Items," don't behave like traditional quest items; they aren't logged, and their purpose isn't immediately apparent. Instead of advancing a specific questline, they're valuable trade goods. There are five to find.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), a depiction of the Vaal civilization at its zenith. Three Golden Idols are located within Utzaal, with two more in the connected area of Aggorat. They're typically found in side rooms, not dropped by enemies.

Cashing In Your Idols

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He's the only vendor who will purchase these unique items. The selling prices are:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five yields a substantial 6000 Gold reward. Given their limited inventory space and singular purpose, it's advisable to sell them immediately after discovery to manage your inventory effectively.
