Star Wars Fortnite Season: Darth Jar Jar Joins Battle Pass

Fortnite is embracing the Star Wars universe in a massive way with its forthcoming season, Galactic Battle, launching on May 2. The update will bring a Star Wars-themed Battle Pass, a five-part saga full of unexpected twists, and even the debut of Darth Jar Jar in Battle Royale.

This thrilling announcement was made during Star Wars Celebration, where Epic Games teased more Star Wars excitement arriving next month—including Force Lightning as a new in-game ability.

Also confirmed are Emperor Palpatine and mashups like Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader in the Battle Pass. New Item Shop additions will feature Mace Windu, while players will get to pilot or co-pilot X-Wings and TIE Fighters. The season also introduces themed map locations and much more.

The five-part Star Wars saga will unfold weekly, with each week presenting a unique overarching theme as outlined below:

Imperial Takeover – May 2, 2025The Pull of the Force – May 8, 2025Mandalorian Rising – May 22, 2025Star Destroyer Bombardment – May 29, 2025Death Star Sabotage – June 7, 2025

The saga will build toward a live in-game narrative event, designed to make players feel as though the fate of the galaxy rests in their hands.
