Final Fantasy XVI Launches on PC September 17th
Square Enix has officially announced the highly anticipated PC release of Final Fantasy XVI on September 17th. This announcement is accompanied by promising news regarding the franchise's future PC presence, with the director suggesting the potential for simultaneous multi-platform releases.
The PC version will be available for $49.99, while the Complete Edition, including both story expansions, Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide, will cost $69.99. A playable demo, featuring the game's prologue and an "Eikonic Challenge" combat mode, is currently available, with progress carrying over to the full game.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, FFXVI Director Hiroshi Takai revealed that the PC version boasts a 240fps frame rate cap and support for various upscaling technologies, including NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS.
