Marking its landmark 10th anniversary, Elder Scrolls Online prepares groundbreaking changes announced during ESO Direct 2025. The April 10th showcase revealed the highly anticipated subclass system, addressing years of player feedback.

Tired of starting fresh characters whenever new skill trees launched? Those days are ending. This revolutionary update lets veteran characters combine skill lines from different classes after reaching level 50.

The system allows players to retain one core class skill line while mixing two others from any available class - unlocking over 3000 potential combinations. Game Director Rich Lambert assured players that while power levels will rise, extensive testing maintains balance.

Seasons of the Worm Cult

ZeniMax Online shifts to seasonal content releases prioritizing experimentation and responsiveness. Studio Director Matt Firor explains the team aims to blend narrative depth with innovative gameplay through this flexible approach.

The inaugural Seasons of the Worm Cult continues Molag Bal's decade-old storyline through the mysterious Isle of Solstice. While this season lasts nearly a year, future installments will run shorter (3-6 months), including revamped Dark Brotherhood content.

Producer Susan Kath emphasizes seasonal flexibility enables revisiting classic narratives while advancing ESO's evolving world.
