Begin by securing the four enemy bases southwest of the battlefield. After capturing two locations, watch for cavalry reinforcements leaping from nearby hills – stay focused on your objective. While progressing between bases, you'll naturally eliminate these mounted units. Defeating commander Zhang Liao rewards you with powerful twin pikes.

With all bases secured, initiate your gate assault against Dong Zhuo's main force. Prioritize protecting Cao Cao until he executes his Grand Tactic, which weakens enemy defenses dramatically, paving your path to Hulao Gate.

Lu Bu Enters the Fray

When Dong Zhuo deploys Lu Bu, avoid direct confrontation at all costs. Instead, systematically eliminate peripheral officers to maintain morale, as Lu Bu's presence creates severe battlefield pressure.
