Author : Noah Update : May 13,2025

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, stirring excitement even before any official announcement that the fighting game will be available on the new console. While we still await confirmation from the developers, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as noted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests that the game will indeed grace the Switch 2.

The tweet, which was removed shortly after posting, stated, "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," and confirmed that it had secured a 12+ rating.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, promising an extensive roster of playable characters, each equipped with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques. Our review at IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review awarded it a 7/10, praising it as "a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders opened on April 24, maintaining a price tag of $449.99. The response was as frenzied as expected, with pre-orders selling out rapidly. On the same day, Nintendo cautioned U.S. customers who pre-ordered through the My Nintendo Store that due to overwhelming demand, release date delivery could not be guaranteed.
